Hi!

We are the Suon family... also known as the Suon Six!

Welcome!  We are so glad you are here.

What We Do

For the past 6 years, we have been overseas missionaries, serving in the Dominican Republic.  We work with underprivileged children whose parents cut sugarcane for a living. These families are primarily Haitian immigrants of little means who live in remote villages.  We, along with our team, have been building a school and teaching the people to love God and love one another while offering their children a quality, bilingual, Christian education.  We hope our work will raise up a new, more educated generation that glorifies God and is free from the bondage of poverty.

Who We Are

We are Jason and Becky Suon from Northwest Ohio.  We have been married for 22 years and are raising our family of four abroad.  Living as Christian missionaries is such a gift and an honor we never dreamed of.  We are so thankful that our great God sees fit to send forth imperfect, flawed individuals to declare and build His kingdom!  The people we serve are precious to us and we long to for them to live in emotional health, harmony with one another, and know the hope available to them through Jesus.

Join the Cause!:
Be an umbrella holder!

An umbrella holder is what we Suons affectionately call those engaged with us as we care for children drenched by the storms of life.  These are people who want to make a lasting difference by helping us care for them in Jesus' name.  We know that God can take devastating circumstances and transform pain into purpose and the inexpressible and glorious joy described in 1 Peter 1:8.

Help us give Hope!
